Description

Osmo Primer is suitable for all outdoor wood that needs a white wood finish before installation. Ideal for wooden cladding, window frames, fences, garden sheds, pergolas, carports and railings. Osmo Primer is optimised for professional and, above all, fast application. It is highly drip-resistant and extremely fast-drying: the Primer dries in just 3 to 5 hours, so both the Primer and top coat can be applied in one day. For long-lasting, high-quality protection, a white or light-coloured top coat with Osmo Country Colour or Osmo Opaque Stain is recommended.

The wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (outdoor temperature min. +5 °C, moisture content max. 18%). Osmo Primer is ready to use. Stir well. Clean old microporous coatings thoroughly. Old paints, varnishes and stains must be completely removed. Always wear a dust mask when sanding.

1. Stir the product well for 2 minutes. After opening the tin, the ingredients are separated. Always do a test first to check that the product adheres well and the result is good.

2. Apply the first coat of Primer with a brush or microfibre roller to the new or sanded wood.

3. Mistakes made during application can be corrected on the wet surface up to 15 minutes afterwards, such as roller marks or brush hairs.

4. Drying of the first coat takes about 3-5 hours (at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity). At lower temperatures or higher humidity, drying takes longer. Always ensure good ventilation, and do not apply in bad weather or rain.

5. Apply the second coat with a white or light-coloured Country Colour or Opaque Stain, in the same way as the first coat.

6. Drying of the second coat in approx. 12 hours; see point 4.
