Description

Professional, fast-drying Hardwax-Oil that combines all the benefits of oils and waxes in one unique product. Osmo Hardwax-Oil Express is resistant to water and dirt, hard-wearing and provides a non-slip surface. Compared with other finishes, the natural plant oils and waxes provide an even colour and a harmonious, uniform surface.

Easy to apply, without intermediate sanding. Thanks to the open-pore structure, the finish cannot crack, flake or peel. Resistant to wine, beer, coffee and other liquids. Once dry, the finish is safe for people, animals and plants. Osmo Hardwax-Oil Express is ideal for finishing all wooden floors such as solid wood, plank, ship's deck, OSB and cork floors, and all furniture surfaces.

Hardwax-Oil Express drying time

Express dries within just 2 to 3 hours (at the right temperature of 23 °C and 50% humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity may increase the drying time, as can applying too much. Adding Osmo Hardener 6632 can shorten the drying time of this product to 1-2 hours.

This Hardener can be added to Osmo Hardwax-Oil Express to speed up drying to 1-2 hours. Please note: after adding the Hardener to Hardwax-Oil Express, the Hardwax-Oil cannot be kept for more than 90 minutes.

Note: the 0.15 L Hardener is exactly enough for 2.5 L Hardwax-Oil Express. If you want to use less Hardwax-Oil, add 6% Hardener to the product. The pot life after adding the Hardener is 90 minutes.


Apply evenly and thinly with the Osmo Floor Brush, brush or microfibre roller, along the wood grain, and roll or brush it out well. Avoid using too much. Let dry for 2-3 hours with good ventilation. Once dry, the second coat can be applied (on untreated wood). Let this coat dry for 2 to 3 hours as well. Please note: mistakes in the wet coating can be corrected for up to 15 minutes after the first coat.

Note: For surfaces already treated with Osmo or another brand or product, always do a test first. For renovation, we always advise applying a maximum of one coat. If more coats are applied, the second coat may not adhere and can easily be scratched off. The FAQ explains how to carry out a test.

Please note: wash cloths soaked with the liquid product immediately after use or store them airtight in a metal container (risk of spontaneous combustion). Once dry, the cloths can be thrown in the bin.
