Description
Osmo Maintenance Oil for wooden floors
Osmo Maintenance Oil is ideal for applying a new protective layer to surfaces treated with Osmo. It can be used on (solid) wood, floors and worktops, as well as heavily used stairs and furniture. The product is especially recommended when Liquid Wax Cleaner no longer gives the desired effect; the Maintenance Oil then gives the surface a new protective layer. Osmo Maintenance Oil is the thinned version of Osmo Hardwax-Oil, so it adheres better to already treated surfaces.
Before applying the Maintenance Oil, we recommend first cleaning the wood with Intensive Cleaner. This powerful cleaner makes sure the wood is clean again for the treatment.
Benefits of Osmo Maintenance Oil
- Ideal for maintaining the surface
- Maintenance without sanding
- Matched to Osmo care products
- High yield
Osmo Maintenance Oil variants
There are four variants of Osmo Maintenance Oil. 3079 Matt, 3081 Satin and 3098 Semi-matt make the wood look as if it has been mopped. Maintenance Oil 3440 White is intended for floors treated with a white top coat. Maintenance Oil 3098 Anti-Slip contains an anti-slip additive that makes the wood less slippery. The product has anti-slip class R9.
Always test the Maintenance Oil on one plank to check that the product adheres well and that you like the result.
Coverage: 40 to 60 m² per litre.
Note: Always test the Maintenance Oil on one plank to check that the product adheres well and that you like the result.
Instructions for use
1. The wooden surface must be clean and dry. Old layers (such as lacquer and stain) must be completely removed.
2. The product is ready to use. Stir the tin well for at least 2 minutes.
3. Apply the Wood Protector thinly to the new or sanded wood with an Osmo brush, block brush or microfibre roller.
4. Let the Wood Protector dry for at least 24 hours (at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity). At lower temperatures or higher humidity, drying takes longer. Always ensure good ventilation, and do not apply in bad weather or rain.
5. The top coat must be applied within a week. Indoors you can use, for example, Osmo Hardwax-Oil Original or TopOil, and outdoors Natural Oil Stain or Decking Oil.
