Description
Fast-drying – very long lifespan – ideal for outdoor use
Extremely weather-resistant and UV-stable, transparent-tinted, satin wood coating. Osmo Garden Stain is microporous and water-repellent. The dried coat is safe for people, animals and plants (resistant to saliva and perspiration according to DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3).
Osmo Garden Stain is best suited to any outdoor wood (except terraces and decking): wooden cladding, balconies, shutters, fences, pergolas, sheds, garden furniture, carports.
Preparation
The wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (outdoor temperature 10 °C, max. 18% wood moisture). Osmo Garden Stain is ready to use; do not thin. Stir thoroughly. If possible, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation. Clean and sand old coatings that are still in good condition – remove damaged coatings (sand back). Always wear a dust mask when sanding.
The end result is influenced by various factors, including the condition of the wood. A test is therefore always required, especially on unknown surfaces.
Notes: Many wood species contain water-soluble coloured extractives that can leach out naturally during weathering. The oils and resins in exotic woods and certain hardwoods (teak, Bangkirai, Douglas fir, etc.) must weather before application. This makes the wood absorbent so the finish adheres optimally.

Avoid release to the environment. Contains benzisothiazolinone (BIT); mixture of chloromethylisothiazolinone (CIT) and methylisothiazolinone (MIT) (3:1) (preservatives). May cause an allergic reaction. EU limit value for this product (Cat A/e): 130 g/l VOC. This product contains max. 30 g/l VOC.
Disposal: Dispose of product residues according to official regulations (EU waste code no. 08 01 12). Only dispose of empty packaging for recycling.
