Osmo Uviwax 25L

Unique UV protection for indoor use!

Clear or transparent-tinted, satin wood finish with a wax-like character for indoor use. Osmo Uviwax® UV Protection protects the lignin in the wood against harmful UV radiation. Natural yellowing of the wood is greatly reduced and the natural, light wood colour is preserved for a long time. Osmo Uviwax® UV Protection is stain-resistant, water-repellent and hard-wearing and provides a non-slip surface. Thanks to the open-pore structure, the finish cannot crack, flake or peel. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk and water according to DIN 68861-1A (German industrial standard). Once dry, the surface is safe for people, animals and plants and suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3 (European standard), saliva and sweat test according to DIN 53160.

Osmo Uviwax® UV Protection is suitable as a complete finish for wall cladding, as well as indoor cupboards and doors. It is also suitable as a touch-up or repair coat for sawn edges, screw holes, trims, boards, etc. on wood industrially treated with Osmo Uviwax® UV Protection. Suitable for all native European wood species.

Application: Apply evenly and thinly with an Osmo flat brush in the direction of the grain and spread out thoroughly. Let dry for 3-4 hours with good ventilation. If necessary, sand in between with P 240-360 grit. Once dry, apply a second thin coat. For renovation, one coat is usually sufficient.

Cleaning tools: Immediately after use, with soap and water.

Drying time: Approx. 3-5 hours (normal climatic conditions, 20-23 °C / 50-65% relative humidity). Ventilate well during drying. Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can considerably extend the drying time.

Notes: Uviwax® UV Protection must only be used on its own. Do not thin or mix with other finishes. If a surface treated with Uviwax® UV Protection needs to be retreated in a different colour, we only recommend using Osmo Interior Wax.
