Decor Wax Creativ: ideal for creating an opaque effect

Osmo Decor Wax Creativ is ideal for creating an intensive wash or opaque effect. It is mainly used on furniture, but is also excellent for wooden floors, toys and doors.

Osmo Decor Wax Transparent, combined with Hardwax-Oil Original, offers excellent protection against water, beer, wine and

1. Stir the product well for 2 minutes. After opening the tin, the oil and wax are separated. Always test on the surface first to check that the result has the desired effect.

2. Apply the first coat of Decor Wax Creativ to the new or sanded wood and then buff it out with a White Pad.

3. Within 20 minutes, buff the Decor Wax dry with the Easy Pad cleaning cloths. This prevents too much product being applied and ensures it dries evenly. Always buff with the plank and the wood grain.

4. Mistakes made during application can be corrected on the wet surface up to 30 minutes afterwards, such as roller marks or brush hairs.

5. Drying of the first coat takes about 24 hours (at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity). At lower temperatures or higher humidity, drying takes longer. Always ensure good ventilation, with windows and doors open.

6. Apply the second coat of Decor Wax with a microfibre roller or brush; do not buff this coat. Always apply the product along the plank and the grain.

7. For optimal protection, apply another coat of Hardwax-Oil Original.

8. Drying of Hardwax-Oil Original takes about 8-12 hours.

The appearance and adhesion of our products may vary by wood species, surface and application method. We therefore recommend testing products on a sample first.

1. Stir the product well for 2 minutes. After opening the tin, the oil and wax are separated.

2. Apply the first coat of Decor Wax Creativ to the new or sanded wood and then buff it out with a White Pad.

3. Within 20 minutes, buff off excess product along the wood grain with the Fleece pad. Use it to buff the Decor Wax Creativ dry as well.

4. Drying of the first coat takes about 24 hours. At lower temperatures or higher humidity, drying takes longer. Always ensure good ventilation with windows and doors open.

5. The surface must be finished with Hardwax-Oil Original Clear. With 1 coat of Osmo Decor Wax Transparent, apply 2 coats of Hardwax-Oil. Roll the Hardwax-Oil thinly with the Osmo microfibre roller, always along the wood grain. Read the instructions for Osmo Hardwax-Oil Original carefully before use.

6. Drying of Hardwax-Oil Original takes about 8-12 hours.

Note:

– Cloths used to apply or buff off the Osmo must be rinsed with water because they carry a risk of spontaneous combustion. Always rinse cloths with water before throwing them in the bin.

– For surfaces already treated with Osmo or another brand or product, always do a test first.

After treatment with Decor Wax Transparent, it is important to maintain your wood properly.

Have you treated your floor or stairs? Then we advise the following. Wisch-Fix is the product to mop and clean your floor or stairs. It contains a small amount of wax that nourishes the wood. We recommend using it weekly or every two weeks.
Over time, walkways and frequently used areas of the surface may start to wear. Liquid Wax Cleaner is then ideal to use.
